THE ‘X’ AND THE ‘Y’

The egg fused by sperm containing Y and X chromosomes will become a male and a female respectively. These are biologically defined genders but while growing up, you have to walk down the paths of masculinity and femininity defined by society. The male has to be rigid and the female has to be fragile. Masculinity does not mean to put others under their soles and femininity does not mean to be oppressed.

Over the years, I realized that males are overburdened with the idea of pseudo-masculinity and females are over-confident with the idea of pseudo-femininity. We forget most of the time that we run through hormones too. We can show anger, zeal, grief, and tears irrespective of gender.

At present times, we complain that the opposite gender is not able to understand us. Complaining is easier than finding out why it is happening. The real reason is that we are bound by the ego of our respective genders. To understand, a male has to attain a bit of femininity and a female has to attain a bit of masculinity.

A female has a complex reproductive system so is her emotions. For so long, she is being exploited in the name of patriarchy. She is being told while growing up that your house is not this but the house you will be married in. The first time, she felt out of place and kept feeling this. The female has to face a lot of unvocal inferiorities in her entire life.

A male has been told to act muscular and behave dominant. He is the one who has to inherit the responsibilites of his fatherly figures. He has to make some decent amount. He has to work like a machine.Being emotional is not the cup of tea for males. For so long, males are being dangerously empowered in the name of patriarchy.

Before start acting according to respective genders, lets behave humans first to resolve the gender biases.
